A wide range of conditions
The valley floor in Shasta and Tehama Counties sees very hot summers and wet winters. Siskiyou, Lassen, and Plumas Counties are higher and colder, with snow, short growing seasons, and in places a drier, high-desert feel similar to Northern Nevada. Wildfire has shaped much of the region in recent years, leaving land that needs erosion control and help to recover.

Most projects start with a phone call or a note through our contact form. We will ask about your property, how it is used today, and what you would like it to do. Next is usually a site visit, where we walk the land, look at soil, slope, and water, and talk through options. Many people start with soil testing so the plan is built on real information. From there you get practical recommendations and a sensible order of work, whether the project is a backyard homestead or a working farm or ranch.
